I started reading this book a few months ago and put it down, which I really don't like doing. Once in the right mindset, I picked it up again and started over and couldn't put it down! Nedelton spins a very believable spy story; one that most likely could be true or still be happening today.

Can you imagine being able to hypnotize someone to carry out a murder plot from the other side of the world? I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a great spy novel!

Steve Nedelton plunges you deep into a world of dark secrets and even darker characters. It's a time when the world lived in fear, and for good reason. This is an edge of the seat thriller that will not disappoint. Crossroads is a well-plotted and chilling look at espionage, political assassination and mind control. A must read for any thriller fan.
Crossroads is a smart, tightly written, intense spy thriller that will have you engaged from start to finish...for if you get lazy for a second, don't pay attention to the details, you might miss something. This type of novel, admittedly, is not my usual cup of tea, but it was one that I enjoyed nonetheless.
The drama, the characters, the plot development, the conflicts, the twists and turns -- all of these help keep you enthralled from page 1. Steven Nedelton has a real knack for dialogue, which is no simple task.
Crossroads tells a fascinating and intriguing tale of espionage -- and mind power -- that spans several countries. The plot raises issues like trust and revenge that plague the players in this international spy game.
Don't think that you can read this for a few minutes here and there, while waiting at the doctor's office or in the car, because that's not happening. This novel needs your undivided attention. But that won't be much of a problem, because you will want to give precisely that, once you start reading. I was so impressed with this novel that I have already lent it to a friend who loves spy thrillers...and I trusted that Crossroads would keep his interest just as much as LeCarre or Clancy.
Prepare yourself for an exciting ride. Steven Nedelton writes a thrilling novel about espionage and twisted stories. With interesting and dark characters such as Tallman, Tatiana, and Mikhail, Nedelton writes a plot-filled story about spies during the Cold War.

Giving too much of the plot away will ruin the suspense that lasts throughout the entire novel. Therefore, a brief outline of the back cover plot is all that should be given to first-time readers.

Tallman has received a new assignment, but he has his doubts about the new aspects of this project. Then there's the Russian, Mikhail, who may not be able to be trusted. And don't forget Tatiana, who will protect Mikhail...if she can find him.

Who to trust? What to do? Read CROSSROADS to find out more about this story of espionage and secrets.

While reading Crossroads, I couldn't help but think about the many books on the market that talk about controlling your life, wealth and desires by using your minds. 'If you want that new car bad enough, believe that you already have it in your possession.' 'If you want to loose weight, picture yourself at the weight you desire and "poof" you will obtain that weight.' I don't necessarily believe in these mind over matter promises but I can't actually say that they are completely impossible. There have been times that I've thought about someone, have the phone ring and it be that same person I was thinking about. I've pulled into a parking lot during a downpour of rain, found myself "lucky" in find a car pulling out of the perfect spot at the front of the store. And yes, I was probably thinking about finding that perfect spot when I left home. Maybe we do submit waves that are picked up by others. I'm not a scientist so I'll never know.

In Crossroads, this mind wave power is used not only to control the enemies of the users but it's also used to explore the unknown. If a man's mind can be trained to leave the body, travel thousands of miles, control the objects they are presuming, then why can't it travel into outer space, bringing back answers to our questions of "are we alone?" But what country will be the first to concur controlling the mind? Will it be the US? Russia? China?

I enjoyed reading Crossroads and recommend it to anyone who enjoys a truly intense spy/espionage read. Crossroads is a book that needs to be read with an open mind. Keeping in mind that it is fiction, or is it?
